Gorges Dades Gorge Todra The rugged Dades Gorges (east of the city) with his deep and winding canyon is dazzling. Dades Nicknamed “Valley of a Thousand Casbah”, the Dades Valley is a region much frequented by tourists. One can only deplore the deteriorating state of many casbahs. Fortunately, some sites like the palm of Ouarzazate have stood the test of time. Founded in the XIIth century by Yacoub el Mansour, known for growing its production of roses and rose water, the park contains fine mansions, and the “Casbah Amerhidil” with its delicately carved exterior walls is an element major. As for the capital of the rose, the fortified village of El Kelaa M’Gouna its casbahs ruin still have beautiful ornaments.
