Cap Spartel is the northwest extremity of Africa’s Atlantic coast.It is a dramatic nine-mile (14km) drive west from Tangier , where the exact point where the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean meet.its heights benefiting from relatively high levels of rainfall and humidity which favour the growth of vegetation. … On its promontory stands a lighthouse built in 1865 by order of Sultan Mohammed Ben Abdel Rahman at the behest of foreign diplomats, and housing a collection of old framed photographs depicting lighthouses of the world. The area is a favorite destination for bird watchers. The sunsets from this vantage point are breathtaking.
