The Hassan II mosque Designed by French architect Michel Pinseau, the Hassan II … mosque looks like a majestic ship moored at the gates of the ocean. Completed in 1993, the mosque is the largest religious building in the world after the mosque in Mecca. Slightly more than 100,000 faithful can pray there (25 000 in the mosque and 80 000 on the vast esplanade). The monument also houses a madrasa, a library, a national museum and large rooms conférences.Les best Moroccan craftsmen participated in the splendid interior of the building frescoes, zelliges, arabesque stucco and wood carvings of beautiful testament to the talent these artists! At the top of the minaret above 200 meters, two lasers with a range of 30 km are continually directed towards Mecca. To finance this masterpiece of Islamic art, the government made a national appeal, the lucky donor received in exchange for a diploma!
